DAY 1 – Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

On this 3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour, our driver picks you up from the accommodation at 8 o´clock am. Depart to the High Atlas, a range of the Moroccan Atlas mountains, via Tizi N´Tichka port.

There we will experience stops for enjoying panoramic views and taking photos of the lovely Berber little towns. Then we move forward south to the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou. We will visit the famous Kasbah which (was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). In fact, many films have been filmed here on this spectacular stage, like Gladiator, Obelix, The Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc Take free time for lunch in the town.

Afterward continue to the city Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert” which means in the Berber language “noiseless or without confusion”. In the city visit the kasbah of Taourirt which is a standout amongst the most fantastic ksars in the country of Morocco.

The next stop is at the Rose Valley which goes through the big palm grove of Skoura; a beautiful place to contemplate more than 700.000 palms and plentiful kasbahs built in the surrounding area. So in this lovely Valley Damascenes, roses are raised for their cosmetic use such as the valued rose water.

Plus there is the Rose Festival which is taken annually in May. In fact, it is an important one in the Moroccan culture. Finish your day at the Dades valley and spend your night there.

DAY 2 – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast marvel at the most beautiful views in the Dadées Valley from a lookout in the mountains. From there appreciate the plentiful number of kasbahs plus the scenic characteristics of each one. On this 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes, you’ll take the incredible asphalt road which leads up the valley from the city of Tinerhir then the gorge, and finally the desert. After some short stops on the way to explore the surroundings, we’ll arrive at the Todra Gorges, where the scenery is spectacular.

In this area, Local people live and their adobe villages can be seen. These incredible gorges and thanks to the rock sides and many uneven surfaces, these gorges are very popular among rock climbers. After taking a peaceful stroll in the crevasses of Todra, you’ll have available time to take lunch in Touroug or Tinejdad.

At that point, the trip continues to the desert and reaches the breathtaking high dune Merzouga. From taking a camel ride for one hour to the nomad camp. It is located in the middle of a sand sea of dunes (Erg Chebbi). Finally, before dinner see the beautiful sunset at the top of a dune for then spend the night in the tent beneath the beautiful starry sky.

DAY 3 – Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast we start your last day to the north passing by the Tafilalet grove of palm which is the largest one in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees dotted along 20km on the road. Moreover this way leads us to the spectacular Ziz Valley, which its river comes from the high Atlas mountains and feeds the palm grove.

So here we’ll stop to appreciate a heavenly view of the waterway. Plus the town of Aoufous from a high viewpoint. Then we’ll make another stop in Midelt town, in the heart of the Middle Atlas. You will have free time to take lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon we move on through the lovely Cedar Woods where.

If we are lucky, we´ll see the Barbary monkeys. A short time later, we’ll visit is the town of Ifrane, which is on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas. Its broad avenues are urban development with perfect cleanness, the green areas, the gardens and its architecture make this city resembles a swiss town.

Ifrane feels misplaced in Morocco. Hence it´s named the Moroccan Switzerland, and because it has an important ski resort which is Michlifen. At 6h00 pm we arrive at Fez, transfer to the hotel, and end our 3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour and services.
