4 DAYS DESERT TOUR FROM MARRAKECH

DAY 1 – Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

Pick-up from your hotel/Riad in Marrakech at 08 am by your private driver/guide for the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech that offers a hassle-free ride compared to the 3 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour, which involves more than 9 hours of driving on the third day. 

You will drive across the spectacular Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) offering majestic views for taking pictures and learning about the local culture of the Berber residents.

Later, you will have a walking tour around the dramatic Ait Benhaddou Village, which is listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site with its Kasbahs (fortresses) that form a striking example of southern architecture.

Our 4 days desert trip from Marrakech will lead us further south to the Dades Valley while crossing the lush Valley of Roses where we may want to include a visit to a local cooperative. Arrive in the Dades Valley in the evening where we will spend our first night.

DAY 2 – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we will resume our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech by stretching our legs in the impressive Todra Gorges that have been a popular attraction among mountain climbers & hikers.

Pass by the city of Erfoud where we may a make a visit to a fossil factory to learn about how the process of excavating fossil blocks in the region and turning them into fine shapes is taking place. 

Arrive in the Merzouga desert to leave the car and saddle up your camels for an adventurous trek across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the stunning view of the sunset. It is going prettily a lifetime experience.

Later, you will get to the desert camp where you can enjoy a delicious meal for dinner followed by a session of entertainment before concluding the day with a relaxing sleep in your private tent.

DAY 3 – Merzouga Desert – Alnif – Nkob – Ouarzazate 

Early wake up in the morning, and attend the miraculous view of the sunrise before enjoying a refreshing breakfast under the sunlight. Go back by camels to meet your driver, then continue on the track to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). Pass by the palm oasis of Nkob, which is known for the intact Kasbahs.

Drive through Agdz and the Anti-Atlas before arriving in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon where we will spend our third night in a comfortable hotel/Riad.

DAY 4 – Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech 

Today, we will head to Marrakech through the spectacular Atlas Mountains while including many short breaks for taking memorable shots, chilling out, or having a meal. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon marking the end of our popular 4 days desert tour from Marrakech.
