DAY 1 – Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Today in the early morning, you will embark on the 3 days Fes to Merzouga desert tour through the beautiful middle Atlas via Ifrane city “Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou village. On this Fes Desert Excursion, you’ll stop near Azrou at the cedar forests and visit the huge Cedre Goraud Tree where you will watch the Barbary apes.

At that point take the street again and drive south passing by few towns and get the chance to see the nomads who live in their tents alongside the way.

You will see the picturesque volcanic rocks. Then we continue to stop in Midelt village where you’ll enjoy lunch. After lunch our drive proceeds passing by the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m) and enjoying the heavenly panoramic views. Then benefit from a stop at the Ziz Gorge and the tunnel.

Continue near Errachidia to see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil with its turquoise blue water. After that, drive to Erfoud town where we will have a pause to see the panoramic views of the palmeraie of Aoufous along the Ziz River. We’ll arrive to Erfoud and check in at the hotel on the foot of the hills. At last appreciate supper and overnight remain in a Hotel.

DAY 2 – Explore the Desert Area & Camel Trek

After breakfast, begin an explorative day journey of the area, on this Fes Desert Excursion. A visit to the nomads dwelling in their goat hair tent, there you will learn about the authentic desert life.

A short time later visit the Gnaoua people who initially slaves from Sudan. In fact you’ll have the opportunity to listen to their spiritual music and learn about their traditional culture and lifestyle. If you visit the desert on a specific year you can see the lake of Merzouga with its unique bird population like the “Flamingos”. On the evening we will venture to the Sahara desert camp, and find the dazzling Erg-Chebbi ocean sand ridges.

Appreciate the brilliant magnificence of the Sahara and watch the dusk over the golden rises. Then enjoy your dinner in the camp where you will spend your unforgettable first night beneath the stars, or in the tent as you wish. Our camp is equipped with western bathrooms.

DAY 3 – Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early and watch the beautiful sunrise on the dunes. Then your camel trek back to the hotel. After your breakfast we’ll depart for Fez city. First traveling via the Ziz river and through the Middle Atlas mountains.

Go through the huge cedar forest of Azrou and stop for a while to feed the monkeys. Afterwards proceed on your journey to the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ called Ifrane to arrive before the evening to Fes. End of our 3 days Merzouga desert tour from Fes.
